Diarmuid Dynan BSc(Hons) MCOptom

(Optometrist)

After qualifying and then working in Manchester in 1993 Diarmuid who is originally from Finaghy, quickly returned home gaining valuable experience in private practices, multiple practices and then locum work all over Northern Ireland. It was this insight into how other businesses operate that gave him the desire to set up his own practice in 1997 and allows him to deliver the unique brand of eyecare and eyewear found at Dynan Opticians.

Anne Dynan MSc(Hons) MCOptom

(Optometrist)

Anne and Diarmuid met in University in Manchester. They are married with 5 children and when Diarmuid has a day off, Anne is the optometrist at Dynan Opticians. She too has enormous experience working for many of the multiples in Northern Ireland and in private practice. She successfully owned and managed a local private practice before taking a break when the kids were born. She has a keen interest in academic optometry and has further qualifications in diabetic eye disease and ocular therapeutics. She also enjoys providing the practice domiciliary home visits in the local community.

Gerardine Dynan FBDO

Dispensing Optician

Gerardine has been at the practice since it was established in 1997 and very quickly became a key member of staff. Her desire to offer the very best for our customers inspired her to study for the Dispensing Optician diploma while working in practice. Now a fully qualified dispensing optician she is a much sought after member of staff. Her expertise and dedication has earned her a reputation in the local community and is always delighted to offer help with your new glasses and lenses. She is in demand with her roles as an ABDO College Examiner and ABDO board member.

Support Staff

Patricia Kane has been with us from the very first day the practice doors opened in 1997. She is very popular in the local community and has a complete knowledge of all aspects of the running of the business.

Debbie Brennan joined us as the practice grew and got busier. A dedicated member of the team for 15 years she will also help you with all aspects of the practice. A most valuable member of staff she regularly keeps the optometrists on track on busy days.
